Why does your heart beat becomes faster infront of someone you love?

When you catch sight of your beloved and your heart starts racing, that's because of an Adrenaline rush.
When you see a loved one, the brain sends signals to adrenal gland, which secretes hormones such as Adrenaline, Epinephrine and Norepinephrine. They flow through the blood and cause the heart to beat faster and stronger.
Epinephrine and Norepinephrine are secreted from your adrenal glands, which cause your heart to beat faster.
It's complicated science, but the bottom line is simple:
When you're in love, your body reacts big time. It's far from "all in your head."

Now you might be wondering, What is Epinephrine and Norepinephrine? Check below :
  • Norepinephrine :
    • Norepinephrine is a chemical released from the sympathetic nervous system in response to stress.
    • Norepinephrine, also called noradrenaline or noradrenalin, is an organic chemical in the catecholamine family that functions in the brain and body as a hormone and neurotransmitter.
  • Epinephrine :
    • Epinephrine is involved in the fight or flight response in humans.
    • The fight or flight response occurs when a person is subject to a threat. This causes a signaling process to occur, which causes the body to react to the potential danger.
    • Specifically, once a threat is perceived, a signal is sent to the brain. The brain then sends nerve impulses to the adrenal gland in the kidneys.
    • also known as Adrenalin or Adrenaline
  • Adrenal glands :
    • Also known as Suprarenal glands.
    • The adrenal glands secrete different hormones which act as 'chemical messengers'.
    • These hormones travel in the bloodstream and act on various body tissues to enable them to function correctly.
